TMCC 2015 has seen four matches among teams from Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam. The Finals will be held at the Suphachalasai National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday, 20 December 2015.

TMCC is a football tournament among Mekong countries initiated by Toyota in 2014 under the Toyota Mekong Football Project. It is in its second year now. It was started with the idea of connecting the passion and energy of football with Toyota's constant pursuit to bring ever-better cars to customers. Bringing sustainable, innovative and exciting solutions to every country has been a key focus for Toyota. This year, the aim is to go beyond delivering better cars and become a "Best Partner" together with the communities of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand which has joined the championship this year. Toyota hopes to make football accessible to the young and old, aspiring football players and fans of the sport.

The earlier four TMCC matches have seen an excellent turnout of over 38,000 spectators in total. The spirit of the fans has been high as they rooted and cheered for their favourite teams. The enthusiasm is expected to be even higher in the Finals. With the likes of Thai national team captain Theerathon Bunmathan within the ranks of Buriram United FC, expectations will be high for them to win the trophy on home soil. There should be no signs of complacency and fans will be looking forward to some silky play by the team.

"As professionals, the significance of being role models and helping to promote the development of the sport among the Mekong countries is a distinction for the high standards we hold ourselves to. The Toyota Mekong Club Championship is a tournament among the best in the region and both teams will put on a brilliant show for everyone!" said Alexandre Torreira Da Gama Lima, Head Coach for Buriram United FC.

Opponents Boeung Ket Angkor FC are no pushovers either. The Cambodian champions blitzed their way through fixtures against tough competition such as the likes of Lao Toyota FC, Yangon United FC and Becamex Binh Duong FC (as pictured above) for a well-deserved shot at being crowned number one in the Mekong region.

"I am very pleased with my team and the character they showed to defeat the defending champions. With our players including Chan Vathanaka and Sou Yaty, we are ready for the Finals against Buriram United FC." said Prak Sovannara, coach of Boeung Ket Angkor FC.

"What an incredible competition it has been so far and congratulations to our finalists. We are glad to bring people from the region together to experience the spirit, joy and enthusiasm of football. We hope to make the sport more accessible to the young and old while inspiring budding players to show their talents. We are confident that the 2015 edition of the Toyota Mekong Club Championship will serve up an exhilarating match between Buriram United FC and Boeung Ket Angkor FC," said Masaaki Kawabata, President of Toyota Cambodia.
