Toyota Program Promotes Safer Driving in Vietnam

Hanoi, Vietnam.

When Toyota conducted a survey on seat belt usage in ASEAN countries in 2013, we found out that only 20% of Vietnamese respondents said they wear seat belts all the time. An amazing 56% said they only wear seat belts in the front seat.

Given those results, it should be no surprise that road safety training is a key priority in Vietnam. That's why Toyota Motor Vietnam has launched the Toyota Safety Driving Skills Training Program, due to run from this month through to 2016.

The program will be rolled out in phases, initially focusing on high-level training for police instructors and Toyota in-house instructors, who will in turn train other Toyota employees and dealers.
