With support from Toyota since 1989, the Hyacinth Macaw Institute assists the protection and monitoring of a population of about 3,000 birds.

On October 2, the Brazilian branch of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE Brasil) recognized the achievements of the Toyota do Brasil Foundation (TBF) with its annual sustainability award. The award was presented to George Costa e Silva, executive director of TBF.
